Katie now joins Dr. Anita Myer and Boston Neurofeedback Center in Woburn, MA to enhance the neurofeedback treatment by providing direct, concurrent occupational therapy. “Neurofeedback is a noninvasive form of biofeedback which uses brain wave monitoring, analysis and auditory feedback to change brain wave patterns” (www.bostonnfb.com). Once individualized neurofeedback protocols have been determined by Dr. Myer, Katie works simultaneously to create an intense and brainwave recorded occupational therapy session. As the area of the brain is targeted through neurofeedback, Katie actively targets the same area of the brain through functional activities to maximize the neurofeedback treatment. It looks as if Ms Noble has an excellent background. I’m looking for NF for my grandson, aged 11 with diagnosed ADHD and now depression. He is in Wellesley.

Would he work with Ms. Noble or with a technician?

How would you approach this and what might be the costs?

Many thanks, Allen Ivey, EDD, ABPP

Hi, I am an OT who is board certified in EEG Neurofeedback. I have 31 years of pediatric clinic and hospital based experience. I am presently in my Doctorate. I hold certifications in Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental Treatment (C/NDT) in pediatrics. My husband who is an MD and I use the quantitative EEG in order to direct NFB using multiple channels. I am available for continuing ed, especially in my field of OT on the use of NFB with other tools like Interactive Metronome and Integrated Listening in which I am also trained and certified.
