I did not want to simply disappear after the remarkable treatment you two have provided. When I compare my present energy and outlook to when I first came to you. I am overwhelmed by the positive changes in spite of a debilitating accident. My medications for depression are down by about half and my mood and energy are up there where a human-being’s ought to be! At 87, I am launching a new program to help people realize more of their creative potential. It has a way to go, but it promises to be the best thing I have ever done! I am forever grateful to you, Anita, for your knowledge and skill in deciding how to wire me up, and to you, David, for all the remarkable information you passed on as you treated me. What a wonderful pair you are! With Warmest best wishes for you in your new adventure, G

As a young boy, my grandson was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar disorder. He was hospitalized at least twice a year from the age of six until he was eleven years old. He was placed in private schools because he was unable to function in a public school After a severe bout of depression and another hospitalization, he was put on Lithium. This cause kidney, thyroid, and liver shutdown. At that point, I had had it with meds. After searching on the computer, I came across Boston Neurofeedback. I called them and made an appointment. Dr. Myer and David Myer did a brain mapping and the question about his bipolar diagnosis began. During neurofeedback treatment, Dr. Myer noticed something about his sleep pattern and suggested a sleep study for pediatric obstructive sleep disorder. Sleep apnea in children can cause mood swings. My 300 pound grandson did have sleep apnea. Later, it was determined that he had problems with his adenoids and one enlarged tonsil. That was his so-called "bipolar." Today my grandson is medication free and has lost all of his excess weight. He has had no hospitalizations since he has been off his meds. In fact, there is no bipolar! If it weren't for Dr. Myer and David, he would have led a disastrous life. Instead, he is a normal, happy kid.
We couldn't have said this better ourselves, and are thrilled to share this adorable letter one of our patients wrote to their "HMO". "Dear HMO, I am very sad, please help me. I do not want to stop going to Dr. Myer. I do not want to see my mommy cry. I like Dr. Myer. She helps me a lot. And I don't get yelled at in school. I don't need special reading anymore. Please help me to keep being good!!!! M" **note the brain waves drawn at the bottom :)

Some of us don't like to rush into things. So, my ADD waited patiently for some years until I told a doctor about my experience in Elementary School. From First Grade, through Second and on into Third Grade, I had my own little desk set up just outside the Principal's office door. A time or two I almost got creamed by her door: it was that close. The doctor heard the story and began to write the prescription out way before the whole tale ended. Somehow, he just knew. So, you can call us for an appointment today, or do like I did and wait until you're 50 to start getting better. Most folks are smarter than I was.
Katie now joins Dr. Anita Myer and Boston Neurofeedback Center in Woburn, MA to enhance the neurofeedback treatment by providing direct, concurrent occupational therapy. “Neurofeedback is a noninvasive form of biofeedback which uses brain wave monitoring, analysis and auditory feedback to change brain wave patterns” (www.bostonnfb.com). Once individualized neurofeedback protocols have been determined by Dr. Myer, Katie works simultaneously to create an intense and brainwave recorded occupational therapy session. As the area of the brain is targeted through neurofeedback, Katie actively targets the same area of the brain through functional activities to maximize the neurofeedback treatment.
